Wedding Photography in a Mountain Hut Near Zurich: Anna & Oli

Anna and Oli have been a beautiful couple for more than 10 years. They decided to get married after having their two children. They live in a small village in Aargau, not far from Zurich, and their wedding ceremony took place near their home in a pretty little white church.

A Musical and Symbolic Ceremony

The ceremony was a non-religious rite, but a highly symbolic one. Since Anna is a singer and many of her friends and relatives — including her sister and her father — are musicians, the celebration was a great musical event. The guests participated musically in the ceremony, singing in the choir or playing classical instruments.

The Spiral Ritual

The symbolic ritual was incredible. Anna and Oli stood in the center of a spiral created with a thread. Around them, the guests were placed following this shape. The wedding rings were passed from hand to hand and from congratulations to congratulations, from the outside of the spiral to the inside, where the bride and groom waited.

All of this lasted several minutes in magical silence. Then the bride and groom whispered their wedding vows to each other. Then there was the exchange of rings. This ceremony truly moved us and will remain in our hearts as one of the most emotional ceremonies we have ever experienced!

Celebration in a Mountain Hut

The party took place in a mountain hut not far from the church. My first reaction as a wedding photographer was to think about colors and light. I was worried about the potential lack of light and dark colors, but it wasn't like that at all. There was beautiful light and I was able to take wonderful photos outside, which the couple was thrilled about!

Fire Ceremony and Magic Moments

Magical are the photos of the ceremony and the songs around the fire, as well as those of the bar (custom-built by the groom for this occasion).
